City Engineering Department SPES 2013

I started working in the City Engineering Department Services of Mandaluyong City hall this 20th of May 2013. At first everything was awkward, actually at first I really don't feel welcome at all.

My stay at the Engineering Office, overall was really great but short lived. 

Man of Steel (2013)

Today I've we watched the man of steel this 13th of June.

Outstanding, that's what I can say. All the wait for this sequel has finally paid off. The graphics are all excellent, no cheesy green screen effects, fully loaded with breath taking fighting scenes and of course...Henry Cavill.

In this installment of Superman, I have observed that Lois Lane is no longer "the girl that always gets in trouble then superman helps her", bit instead, she became --well sort of normal type of woman.

Also, I've seen that this version of Man of Steel they didn't use his' weakness stone, the Kryptonite which is good, they've avoided the mainstream for once.

After Earth (2013)

Today is "After Earth" day but first let's take a sip of coffee from Bo's Coffee

7:45pm. We've watched After Earth by M. Night Shyamalan, from the director of my favorite movie 3 Idiots starring Will Smith and Jaden Smith.

Mmmmeah.
That's what I can say about the movie, but well, my score for this will be 3 stars, maybe because Man of Steel was so good, I was expecting my next movie to be watched to be equal (or much better) to it.

But then again, I have to say, the graphics were somewhat convincing but the sky dive and the falls part blew it all away.

"SUNOG! SUNOG! SUNOG! BUMABA NA KAYO!" said my Kuya in an outrageous tone.

I was awakened by my mom saying that there's a fire. I was alarmed, my Kuya kept on shouting and shouting to go down and leave the house so I immediately went down...and of all the things I can bring with me...I brought only my Tab. Fascinating.

Everyone was in a stage of paranoia, they're all in panic not knowing what to do, people running everywhere, t'was really a chaotic moment. People crying hysterically on the street gutter but me, I just in front of the burning house, staring at the fire, like I give fuck about it. Weird that I'm really trying to feel something out of it; like fear, awe, but no instead I was just there, standing in front of the house.

Cristian's Summer (Adventure(?))

It must have been almost 5 months since that tragic incident occurred...nah who am I kidding I'm talking about my last post!

A lot of stuff happened to me for the last 5- months (based on Facebook; honestly I can no longer recall what happened so I hafta check my Timeline :P)

Para kay B Ricky Lee

Its been a while since I've finished reading this book and tell you what, It was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! (for me a t least, medyo mababa kaligayahan ko hahaha!). The book contain stories of 5 people where 4 characters fail in their love story and only one triumphs like the subtitle says: Para kay B (o kung paano dinevastate ng pag-ibig ang 4 out of 5 sa atin).

I never actually thought that I'd like it 'cause I don't really read novels but after turning the cover and read the first sentence in Irene's story: Sa loob ng coffee shop, habang hawak ang menu, nakaharap  si Irene sa mga kabarkadang sina Brenda (payat na pero nagpapapayat pa baka tuluyan nang magdissapear), at Susan (laging nakagiti parang walang problema sa mundo). --the way the author described Brenda is like funny to me and left me with the impression that this is going to be a good read, so I continued only to find out that the book is both funny and sooo relating.

The book is light to read, not too serious, not to heavy just right and it'll leave you either grinning or at the edge of your chair laughing. Next book that I'll be reading will be Si Amapola sa 65 na Kabanata.

2012: In Review

Today is the last day of the Year 2012, December 31. Right now, people are busy doing their stuffs, going to the market to but ingredients to the food they'll be serving later onw and shopping for gifts etc.

At the market, countless people walks around buying round fruits, it's like The Walking Dead actually. Series of honking from horn sellers, explosion from firecrackers and honking of the cars made my ear deaf --take note it is just 10: 00 am here.

The total opposite can be observed in in our street. It's like...Semana Santa in our street right now, it's so quiet, only handful of people can be seen and the houses are like abandoned. ---great.

Here we go again, as a new year will pass us again, it is time that transform ourselves into a new person; let us not forget our past for it helped us to be here, right now that shaped us into whatever what are we now, now.

Now that we are now Welcoming a  New Year, 2013. I'd really like to thank ALL the people who made my 2012 great --no FABULOUS! There may be bad times, good times, shitty times but whatever times I had, it had been a really...really great year for me. And now, looking back this year --all I can say it is just like parang kahapon lang 'to!

2012. Year 2012. You are indeed a very remarkable year. For me, year 2012 is really special for a LOT of stuff happened to me, memories, happenings and crazy stuffs I never thought I did!

Sinister (2012)

Sinister (2012) directed by Scott Derrickson is a Thrilling horror mystery movie (with a pinch of cult-y demon part) about Ellison Oswalt, a book writer who moved in a house where horrific events happened prior their arrival.

Sinister, from the word itself. At I was skeptical on how will this movie scares the shit out of me, the beginning of the movie was vague, never even knew he was a writer --I thought he's a detective of some sort but anyways, the movie. The movie itself is outstanding, never fails to shock me at the right moment. The sound effects even made he movie scarier.

Overall, I must say that I liked it. Made me scream a little in me seat (more like moan.....I guess), the story is nice, although some part are cliché, still I'd give this a 4 start rating. Also the movie is fast paced --for me, I quite find the movie to rather end quickly than expected and still left me hungry for more.

Well, I've got nothing much to say anyways except WATCH IT. Watch this movie in either in a theater or much better with your earphone in a dark room, that way you'll literally jump out of your seat haha.

Gayby (2012)

Jenn (straight) and Matt (gay) are best friends from college who are now in their thirties. Single by choice, they decide to fulfill a youthful promise to have a child together... the old fashioned way. -IMDB

Gayby is a comedy-drama movie where 2 best friends from college reached their 30s of age and now decides to have their very own baby --a gayby! Written and directed by Jonathan Lisecki, starring Jennifer Harris as Jenn, a straight woman and Matthew Wilkas as Matt, a gay guy and a bestfriend for Jenn since college.

The story revolves itself on the baby making actually, where series of dates and some stuffs are seen while looking for both of their "Mr. Right".

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (2012)

First of all, I am a 9gagger so as you can see, I can;t even believe that I am making a review about Twilight, it has never really in my interest to watch this movie for what I've seen in 9gag (although I am not blaming the Gags in the site and I don't even know why there are a lot of Twilight hate posts in there...), I really don't want to watch this movie but, since our professor in World Literature told us to watch this movie for this is included in our Mid Term Examination (yep, he meant what he said, he must be a Twi-hard).

As the movie begins, I start to think that this is going to be a loooong movie, but as the movie progresses, I am but dazzled by the movie --I never thought I'll be enjoying it! Really! I actually liked their special abilities like the one who inflicts Pain and the guy who is like an Avatar for his ability to control the elements, those people really moved me at the edge of my seat.

Anyways, I can only review what I only saw. No, I haven't watched the preceding titles so there you have it.
