Repomen (2010)

Repomen directed by Miguel Sapochnik is a futuristic, sci-fi, action movie set on the near future where people uses artificial body parts or "artiforgs." The story circles on a story of Remy who used to be a Repomen now have his heart transplanted with an artiforg now finds himself being hunted by other Repomen for not paying is outstanding bill and will stop at nothing to "claim" back his heart.

This movie is awesome, lots of blood and the action scene was just spectacular. Although there are some scenes that are inappropriate to children this movie sure kicks some ass. I sure love the blood and gore in this movie its just..wow.

Bottom line, the movie is great no doubt. Again I've searched for Wikipedia for the director and I'm surprised I found nothing but hey that doesn't mean that this movie isn't good and in fact I've watched it and now giving it a blog and know what its just awesome. Genius, rather for the plot I mean. In a futuristic Earth where people no longer wait for someone else to die to get their organs but rather use an biological-mechanic organ instead; I've never seen this kind of plot before so I'm pretty impressed. I tell you, this movie will not disappoint you. Come to think of it, I only knew that Jude Law's name in this movie was Remy when I searched IMDB, well maybe his name wasn't really said a lot of times in the movie though.

Uninhabited (2010)

The Uninhabited directed by Bill Bennett is a Mysterious Thriller movie that sets on a remote island zeroing on a couple who had a trip onto the island. The movie is low on characters so each of them is noticeable.

Actually there is nothing too "shiny" in this movie except for the cute couple though, I think Harry is cute but anyway the Beach is great too 'ya know! I also liked the creepy ambiance in the film but the downfall of this is that the movie is rather unrealistic, more like fictional I mean, ghost killing people?

The movie at first confuses me, The first thing the creepy sound took place I was thinking of zombies...next Wrong turn creatures; the last thing I though was ghost.

Oh kay, I couldn't find any links that will forward you to the casts not even the director on wikipedia; I guess they're not that popular though.

Bottom line, the movie is watchable with some redundant public display of affection (correction its not public, no one is there except them! duh). The movie is worth 3 star not 2 well I kinda like to give it 2 but I just remembered the movie I gave 2 which is WHOA major disaster I never even bothered to blog it! But then again considering the nice place and creepy sounds I'll give them 3 stars.

Coral made her appearance in front of Harry
Harry being satisfied by Coral
One thing that left me crippled from the movie is that what happened to Beth? i though she was dead why is she still walking? And what happened to Coral? Is she a ghost or what? Did Coral gave Harry a blow job on this scene?

Because I can see that he is being satisfied on that scene or was just because of his acting?  I mean if you watch this scene I'll tell you you'll have the blow thing coming in your head first!

One more thing, I really love his British accent. I really do I sounds...nice.

The American Pie (1999)

The American Pie, directed by Paul Weitz, is a raunchy teen comedy movie about 4 teenage guys making a pact of losing their virginity before the night of the Prom. Don't mistake my word for "raunchy" for this movie is not all about sex, although some (most) scenes offer you some kissing and kissing, the storyline and the plot is good too!

The movie is indeed great although dated (well its a 1999 movie)  the movie will not let you down.

"The movie is RIDICULOUSLY FUNNY!"

I will certainly gonna watch the sequels of this ALL OF IT! I simply just love how the director made this movie so polished you will not even be bored and I barely see the goof in Finch's microphone being sen while he's running towards the rest room.

Bottom line, AWESOME. The scenes are really exciting, you wouldn't know what's next. About Chuck Sherman, his role reminds me of the role of Emma Stone on Easy A about the rumors and stuff, just seen some similarities though.

Although American Pie might seem just a hook-up movie, I'd seem to find a lesson (ugh lessons?!) in this one and its that about taking relationship(s) seriously. NOW LAUGH ALL YOU WANT I know its corny hahaha.

One more thing about Michelle that left me clouded, is she bipolar? How come she acted differently when the time she and Jim hooked up?

This scenario really confuses me, this is the scene where Jim's dad was telling him about masturbation. I don't even know how did Masturbation made its way by just looking at the family portrait.

The Caller (2011)

The Caller is said to be a Mysterious-Thrilling movie directed by Matthew Parkhill
which is indeed left me thrilled and confused due to the "mystery part." Frankly I got bored watching this one, the lighting are just so dim, the camera movements makes me dizzy and the swapping of scenes are just too fast I can see what they're afraid of (especially the corpse on the pantry and the finger fell out of the buried handkerchief)

I really appreciate this movie of it has a very distinct plot, where the past calls the present and the present messes wit the past and now the past haunts her by destroying the past making the present worse for her. Much like of a Frequency movie but instead an old hag trying to kill an innocent woman are the main characters here.

As I said earlier, I got tired form watching some scenes (really!) but thank god the middle-ending scenes were good so I got woken up. The ending is unsatisfying probably left me hanging.

Bottom line, nice movie, bad...uuh unsatisfying directing well, If there's gonna be a sequel I hope they make it better...if there's gonna be, that's the question. =D

Hmm.never given a 2 star before but hey, I guess every people have different taste huh?

Life as we know it (2010)

When two, totally unrelated single adults took the responsibility of a married family, things will just go crazy.

Life as We Know it directed by Greg Berlanti is a Comedy Romantic-Drama-ish movie. The movie itself is like your typical comedy romantic movie but I'm not saying that this one is bad, I'm just sayin' is that the plot is just kinda predictable. I've seen lots of movie with the same storyline they only change the characters; and speaking of the characters what's with the male couples? How I wished they made more exposure to the scene rather than that shabby taxi cab driver.

I one is nice, worth a watch. Actually the first time I saw this movie poster I thought that Messer's (Josh Duhamel) soul transmigrated onto the baby's soul...well things go unexpectedly different huh? but then again like I said, although the story is a little bit cliché, the execution is nice and the acting is great! Hardly see any bloop. Nice job.

"You told me to Stall her so I gave her a shove"

Bottom line, I'll give this a 4 star rating for its nice, entertaining and funny. I really laughed good when Messer "stalled" the baby! Also I liked the entrance, the beginning part it was like watching the bloopers as if I'm watching the ending, loved it. Also compliment to Katherine Heigl, she's a fine actress as well, its like watching The Ugly Truth with just a different leading man.

Hot Fuzz (2007)

Once again, the duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost never ceased to amuse me. Hot Fuzz is  a comedy action-filled police themed movie directed by Edgar Wright.

"Their duo is ultimately FANTASTIC! This movie is SERIOUSLY FUNNY!"

Since this is a comedy film, I could not stop laughing at some scenes like the Romeo & Juliet, Fruit Assassins just to name a few.

Hot Fuzz is a story of a uber-talented Policeman-Officer (-Danny said), Nicholas who is sent on a remote village to become the Sergeant as his "Promotion" well, you kinda feel reading the whole plot here cause I ain't have much time tellin' the story am I? Or just simply watch it and have a good laugh! Read here.

In this movie I've seen lots of stuffs like shotgun proof plank and unbreakable mall glass sorta...thingie. Well, what ever it is called I tell you you'll laugh at it. I like the Ketchup scenes too...

Altogether this one is a marvelous film to watch regardless of age will LOVE this!

Drag me to Hell (2009)

Drag me to Hell is a Thriller movie, directed by Sam Raimi. The story about a Loan officer evicting an old gypsy out of her house due to her outstanding loans making the gypsy mad and bestowed a "Lamia" curse onto Christine Brown, the Loan Officer. Bearing a  3-day curse and escalates the torment as days pass down and on the third day, Lamia will bring her soul down to hell.

The movie was nice, has some really good shocker which caught me off guard. The entrance of the movie was nice too, Its so...catchy. The effects are nicely done but the manipulation of the ghost which is on the kettle scene at the Kitchen, its just too obvious  didn't liked it and i wasn't convinced in the acting in that scene. Also the scene where Christine was being thrown around in the air, ugh I swear she acts like "uh-oh, what did  I missed?"
Although this movie has some goofy things but I must say, I am entertained by them!
I mean look at this Nose Blood Spray, can she still be breathing after that? And what about that Oral Fisting? Whoa....
Imma spray this to you SIR!
Okay Christine, open WIDE!
Anyways, bottom line, the movie is indeed great, but the acting was not so filling but watchable though! I like the witch, she really suits her role. Just a normal Horror-flick.

The Proposal (2009)

The Proposal is a 2009 movie directed by Anne Fletcher. A drama comedy romance movie all whacked up together into this one fabulous movie, not to mention the funny scenes!

The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and an eye candy Ryan Reynolds sure fired up the movie together for the really do made the movie into an indeed satisfying one. The characters really do suit them very well

"Gosh, they're great! As if they're so attached to the roles! Truly Magnificent!"

The acting is just great, I know how hard it is to make a funny scene look funny you know! As well a comment on the plot. Its really good and original, but the movie's plot is quite used though like the movie, The Ugly truth and Just go With it just to name a few, a Boss - Employee relationship and then they go on a trip and fall in love. But what the heck, comparing the both titles above, this one I'd say is better, the scenes, place, story and they even mention the background of the main characters without making the movie dull and without sacrificing the core scenes. But since this was a comedy film I didn't have high expectations to this considering that this is not a novel film, but I was wring, I really got enthralled by this!

Ramone doing his "exotic" dance to entice Margaret
You see, The Proposal has some really great scenes altogether, nice environment, plot and the seas also Ramone! He really made me laugh in his disturbing "exotic" dance number.

Bottom line, frankly the most vivid scene left in my mind is the scene where Margaret and Andrew were naked. Man! both of them are sexy! S-E-X-Y *drooling* Anyways! The movie is worth a watch no boring scenes and the movie entranced in a cheerful and lively manner a good start in a good movie. Until the end of the film, I've enjoyed it as well as the Q&A part, t'was funny.

The Signs (2002)

The Signs is a 2002 mystery, sci-fi, thriller movie by M. Night Shyamalan (Manoj Nelliyattu Shyamalan). The movie covers most about teh ruckus of Aliens taking over the planet harvests us causing Graham's faith as a Reverend to test.

Like in my previous blogs, I've always put a comment on how the movie progresses, is it slow? fast? boring? Well on this one I think its just...meh. I found it in the end that the scenes are all connected and gives important information in the end so I'd say its just fine.

I like the concept of Aliens trying to get hold on Earth but some things are just ain't right for me for some things as well are left unanswered and just simply skipped.

The movie is great oh yes but then again some scenes are somehow far strayed off, (my opinion) I think the death of Graham's wife has really nothing to do with the story though she does says something about he last message to her family especially the "Tell Merill to swing away" part where Merill killed the Alien by batting it on and off and throwing some water onto its face; which reminds me of this part in the end which really boggles me, what was the Alien's purpose on landing on Earth? It wasn't stated in the movie as well as the Veterinarian Rey Reddy's (hey he's the director!) purpose. He only did is to trap the Alien behind his Pantry door and the rest is like poof! I didn't even know if he survived or not? Also in at the ending where the Alien sprayed this "mist" on Morgan, was it a healing spray of a poison gas (okay, since Morgan was alive speaking I assume it is a Healing spray)? If it is, why did the Alien did that? What is with Bo's strange premonitions? At the ending itself, it was infilling, it feels nothing as if I were cut down in the middle of a climax? i must say the movie ended badly how  wished they sum all things up and give better ending like saying "every one's okay!" or some sort.

Bottom line, the movie is watchable. You see the movie poster is really catchy so I had a very high expectation on it like Human-Alien encounter-combat  and hordes of them but nah. A real eye-candy though.

The Box (2009)

The Box is a 2009 suspense drama sci-fi movie directed by Richard Kelly based on the short story of Richard Matheson: "Button, Button." The movie features Wooden box, although not actually the main issue in the movie. The movie itself have a unique...setting, the movie starts in a mysterious way not your usual movie entrance and it automatically leaves you a hint that: "My mind has to work on this one!"

The movie itself contains a lot of unexplained and unusual things, from the Man who carries the Box, the so called "experiment," strange happenings such a, nose bleeding etc. I really do a lot of things boggling in my mind after the movie have finished for most of the mare left unanswered. Examples are the people who are like being mind-control or some sort, (are they?) also Mr. Steward's "employers," whats up with the circular torrent of liquidish-jello in a NASA warehouse?
Bottom line,  Its not that I hate this one (or maybe its just me) in the end I really didn't understand what are the motive of this Mr. Steward and What about this supernatural powers and floating waters? But I understand that the one who presses the button dies, but then again they will win $1,000,000 Tax free!

Its not really that bad but if you understand the movie better than I am, feel free to make a comment and see what I'm missing out yeah?

Clash of the Titans (2010)

Clash of the Titans is an action-adventure movie (what do you else expect from a greek mythology movie?). From the director Louis Leterrier he remade a the same title from 1981, quite cool though I've only watched the trailer of the 1981 movie.

The movie Clash of the Titans is sure a nice hit and the effects really captivates me (not mentioning some fantasy movie whose special effects are..."unspeakable." You know what I mean)

The acting, effects, and oh the environment, I can barely tell which scenes are taken from a blue/green screen! All of them all looked real! Love it. The special effect and the animation is all fabulous. The giant scorpion almost looked real as well as the Gargoyles too!

Clash of the Titans tell the story of Perseus, demi-god son of Zeus and the one who have slain the Medusa. He's the one who rides on a Pegasus with the head of a Gorgon.

Actually, the reason for me to watch this movie is because of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, I am really fascinated about Greek Gods, well, not to compare; both movies are great and a must to see these if you are interested in Greek myth stuffs.

My Comment:

The movie is great, really awesome its just that I've put much expectations to this one for the title says "Clash of the Titans" and i was expecting more of a "Titan" stuffs; like the Clash of the Gods of the Old, Gaia, Cronus, Oranos etc. For me, the title of misleading for the creatures that appeared in this movie were not Titans but just another creature, a Kraken is not a Titan.

Overall, this is a great movie with a great setting, have some nice actors and nice execution. I'll rate this as 4 stars, not that perfect but will make you entertained. Cheers!

The Descent: Part 2

First things first, I've already watched the Part 1 and I can fully say THIS one is better but shorter. The Descent: Part 2 is a wonderful sequel to its predecessor and I must say its really good!
I didn't expect that the story would be like this, actually in some parts of me I feel sorry for the ending, I know its an "impact" ending but I'd rather consider this as a BAD ending...why?

Cause all of them died! Ugh, and come to think that Juno was alive as well (actually when the scene where Sarah & Juno finally met, I felt kinda, whoa this is gonna great, their friends again! HA!), but then suddenly they died in the end.  <---- Sorry for the spoiler there, unfortunately I don't know how to make those Show/hide buttons you see, doesn't seem to work @_@ anyways, like I said,  how I wished the ending was a little lighter, a happy ending not leaving the viewers heavy headed and frustrated. The man at the end of the film, why did he do that? I'm sure he knows something and we will all know that...on the Part 3.

The Descent

Today I've watched Neil Marshall's The Descent and I was like whoa. The movie itself is an Action thrilling adventure in genre and it was great. The story is about 5 girls who are looking for adventure and decided to explore an unexplored cave but instead the cave found them. The cave is filled with unknown creatures more like a mutant though you could recognize the face for it looked like the monster in Wrong Turn series.

There's really nothing to say more about this movie for there is nothing "hyped' about except for the blood thirsty fiends who feasts flesh in the dark.

My Comment:

The first 13 minutes of the movie was laggy, rather boring. I've watched a lot of movies before and yet the entrance of the story didn't bore me at all; but this one is something different though I can see that all the scenes are core...I think they're missing out something but I can't put my finger on it.

I just love the action scene between Juno and Sarah versus a horde of creatures especially when Sarah protrude her fingers into the creatures eyes.

Overall, the movie is indeed remarkable, great, watchable and thrilling. The environment really gives you the creeps but the childish laughter is rather unbelievable. I can also see that the bats on the cave entrance were just special effects, nice try though.

Howl's Moving Castle

Howl's Moving Castle (Hauru no ugoku shiro) is one of Hayao Miyazaki's masterful animation. Howl's Moving Castle is a Fantasy-adventure movie consisting of witches and wizards and a waging war based on the novel of the same name by Diana Wynne Jones.

The movie is indeed magnificent with rich details and colorful scenery will sure captivated anyone who will watch this film.

On the story, the story is nice, people can get the ideas fast but some events leads the viewers hanging in mid air for some events are left unexplained.

The movie itself is truly magnificent though some parts of the movie leaves the viewers empty. I really loved how the story turned out by bringing an unexpected twist to the movie (e.g. The Witch of the Waste became their ally).

The bottom line, Yes,the movie if great, watchable and still though doesn't gives you the same feeling as watching Spirited Away.

My Comment:

I liked the movie, that's a +1. though like I said earlier it kinda left me hanging.

1. The curse that the Witch of the Waste bestowed upon Sophie, was the curse has been lifted in the end? Why each and every scene her face changes (from old to young) and if she was returned to normal why is that her hair is still white?

2. I'm confused on Sophie's changes, in every scene I thought the curse has been lifted but not. Really confusing.

3. On the scene that the "ring" turned blue, why is that?

4. How did Sophie managed to go "past" into Howl's childhood?

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is an action fantasy movie about a boy discovering that he is no ordinary child but instead, he discovers that he is a descendant of a God. Greek God! But one problem lies, Percy, son of Poseidon was accused of stealing the Master Bolt of Zeus and demands of its return before the Summer Solstice arrive or a war would engage and the battlefield will the Earth...

The movie is based on the book Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. A really great movie without missing the core parts of the story from the book.  The special effects are just spectacular, highly polished magical effects but the sword fight is just not too realistic but then again the fast paced story and good deliberation of roles covered them real good that you wouldn't even notice it.
